Is NFC Safe? What to Know Before Wearing a Smart Ring

What Data is Actually on the Ring?
Your iJustTap ring does not store your passwords, bank information, or even your actual contact details. The only thing stored on the physical NFC chip is a secure URL link that points to your public digital profile.
Can Someone "Hack" the Ring?
Because the ring only transmits a public URL when tapped, there is nothing for a hacker to steal from the ring itself. It’s no different than someone finding out the address to your public website.

The Range Limit
NFC stands for "Near Field." It only operates within a range of about 1 to 2 inches (2 to 5 cm). This means someone must intentionally bring their phone extremely close to your hand to scan it. It cannot be scanned from across the room.
Health and Radiation
NFC chips in iJustTap rings are completely passive. They have no battery, emit zero radiation on their own, and only activate for a fraction of a second when powered by a smartphone’s NFC field. They are 100% safe to wear 24/7.
